The Interdisciplinary Information Science PhD Program is the largest fully interdisciplinary PhD program in the discipline in the U.S. The program boasts approximately 50 faculty, 20 of whom are in the Department of Library and Information Sciences (LIS). The remainder hail from various UNT academic departments, creating a diverse research community for IIS students.
